What makes Electrichlor®
Cells unique
Titanium Construction for Maximum Durability
Electrichlor® cells are built from solid titanium. This all-metal construction provides exceptional mechanical strength, corrosion resistance, and long-term stability. The design varies from conventional electrochlorination cells by eliminating acrylic housings, plastic fittings, and glued joints that can crack, leak, or degrade.
Integrated Cell Architecture Eliminates Failure‑Prone Components
The Electrichlor® cell is an elegant, integrated electrolyzer eliminating failure-prone components. Our two-piece, concentric‑tube electrode design uses one un-coated titanium side as the cathode (negative electrode) and the coated side as the anode (positive electrode).
Simplicity for Operators to Reduce Maintenance and Increase Uptime
Unlike traditional cells built from stacked assemblies, our cells have no separate housing, no internal hardware, no removable flat plates. This streamlined geometry also helps minimize scale accumulation, enhances structural integrity, and delivers long‑term reliability in demanding applications.
Efficient Flow Dynamics for Reliable Hypochlorite Production
Brine or seawater enters the Electrichlor cell through a single pressurized inlet. As the solution moves through the concentric‑tube electrolyzer, it first flows across the cathode (negative electrode), raising the pH and allowing hardness to precipitate in the wide center tube.
The pressurized brine increase velocity as it flows across the concentric anodes and cathodes. The internal pressure carries the resulting sodium hypochlorite solution and any entrained gases out of the cell and into the hypochlorite storage tank, where the solution is collected and the gases safely vent to atmosphere. For municipal applications, the system consistently produces a 0.8% sodium hypochlorite solution.
